At Heber Valley Artisan Cheese our mission is to help others experience the difference of the farmer’s touch. Our fully integrated dairy farm to creamery delivers a true farm-to-table experience. In fact, we believe the finest handcrafted cheeses, fresh or aged, begins with the perfect base: premium milk — pure, rich and creamy; a “recipe” we’ve been perfecting on our farm for nearly 100 years.
Our family is proud to create different cheese varieties including: fresh curd, cheddar (raw milk, flavored, fresh or aged), queso fresco, monterey pepper jack, parmesan, swiss, and juustoleipa.
Experience the difference first hand by stopping by our Midway creamery store for a homemade grilled cheese sandwich, a scoop of ice cream, or handcrafted jams & fudge, or take a tour of our farm while enjoying the picturesque view of the Wasatch Back Mountains.
Beyond the farm, Heber Valley Artisan Cheese is ranked among national champions, garnering awards from prestigious organizations like the American Cheese Society, the Utah Cheese Awards, and the World Cheese Awards, as well as a recognized trend-setter at the Specialty Food Association Winter Fancy Food Show.
However, despite the national attention, you’ll still find the Kohler Family enjoying the quiet farm lifestyle, as their ancestors have for generations, and greeting visitors like old friends.

Hop on our tractor-pulled hay wagon and take a tour through our historical farm. You can meet our baby calves, take an insider look at our state-of-the-art milk barn, and enjoy the sights and sounds of a working dairy farm- led by our own farmers! Join us each day at 11am (closed Sundays)
We offer Mozzarella and Burratta making classes, as well as a fun Charcuterie Board night. We also hold Cheese Tastings for customers to sample and rate our world-famous cheese!
