Staff of Life Natural Foods, a Santa Cruz Landmark specializing in farm to fork goodness was opened 50 years ago by Richard Josephson and Gary Bascou to address the growing demand for organic produce, natural meats and bulk shopping. From our beginning, in 1969 we have grown from a small natural foods bakery into a major natural foods supermarket that has become a Santa Cruz tradition.
