Founded in 1946 when Flint Hills dairy farmers banded together to pool their milk, Alma is now in its third generation under the Hansen family — handcrafted cheddars, Colbys, Co-Jacks, and seven varieties of cheese curd. Stop at the original factory store in town or the cheese-curd bar at the I-70 retail location. "Nibblin' Good" is less a slogan than an instruction.
