Hike at Millerton Creek Ranch November 7
Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to see firsthand the impact of Measure A funds at work by hiking Millerton Creek Ranch with MALT
Join us at Millerton Creek Ranch on Friday, November 7 from 10 am - 1 pm.
Millerton Creek Ranch, Measure A funded and MALT-protected since 2018, is home to beef cattle and the pasture-raised hens of Tomales Bay Pastures.
The 862 windswept acres of Millerton Creek Ranch sit just east of Highway 1 between Point Reyes Station and Marshall. Steelhead and coho salmon have historically traveled from Tomales Bay up Millerton Creek to spawn, and the creek, which carves steep ravines through the ranch, continues to provide essential wildlife habitat.
You are welcome to do as much or as little of this hike, which is moderate to difficult, about a 3 mile loop with 500 ft of elevation gain, and may be slippery if it rains. Along the hike you will experience beautiful rolling hills and views of the Tomales Bay and you may have the opportunity to take home fresh farm eggs right from the source!
This is a self-guided hike, feel free to arrive between the hours of 10 am – 11 am. All hikers must be off property by 1 pm.
Learn more about how MALT has partnered with Mike and Morgan Giammona at Millerton Creek Ranch to be good stewards of the land, including through a recent small grant to fund a solar-powered chicken tractor.
Hikes are made possible by supporters like you! If you would like to contribute to more experiences like these, we suggest a donation of $25. Thank you!
RSVP is required, so please visit our website to register malt.org/events
We look forward to seeing you there!
