West Marin Farm & Cheese Tour
We’ll begin the morning at Market Hall Foods with coffee, pastries and a chance to mingle before setting off for the coast. A luxury shuttle will take us on a scenic drive through the rolling hills and pastoral landscapes of Marin—the perfect start to a day devoted to great cheese, beautiful countryside, and good company.
Our first stop is Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company, nestled near the scenic shores of Tomales Bay on a fourth-generation family farm. Their team will give us an inside look at the farm’s rich history, sustainable cheesemaking tradition, and the craft behind their acclaimed cheeses. We’ll cap it off with a guided tasting of their award-winning lineup, showcasing the bold flavors that have made Point Reyes Farmstead one of California’s most celebrated creameries.
Next, we’ll travel over the hill to Marin French Cheese Co., the oldest continually operating cheese company in the United States—now in its 160th year. Set beside a tranquil lake and surrounded by rolling pastures, Marin French offers a glimpse into the storied history of California dairy farming and the enduring traditions of handcrafted cheese. We will enjoy their beloved breakfast Cheese and other favorites while learning how this historic creamery helped shape California’s cheese culture. We’ll then relax lakeside with lunch provided by Market Hall Caterers before heading home through the beautiful Marin countryside. We hope you’ll join us for this memorable day of beautiful landscapes, fascinating stories, and exceptional cheese in West Marin.
