During the COVID-19 lockdown, a group of Amish dairy farmers in Seneca County, NY became aware that the commodity-based milk market, which had provided financial stability for generations, was disintegrating. As a result, a partnership was formed to build and operate a creamery, providing a market for the milk produced on our traditional, small family-owned and operated dairy farms.

We produce pasteurized and raw milk cheeses along with drinkable yogurt, chocolate and Creamline milk, and more! Our goal is to provide fresh local taste, to both retail and wholesale consumers, who desire sustainably produced, local food.

Our Mission: To help preserve our agricultural heritage by producing and marketing value added dairy products.

Family Farms Creamery’s dairy products are made from whole milk produced on small family farms using traditional animal husbandry methods. Our bottled products include Creamline milk, whole milk, chocolate milk, and drinkable yogurt.

We produce both raw milk and pasteurized milk cheeses. Our raw milk cheeses include Gouda, cheddar, and Lake Delight, a specialty blend of cheddar and Gouda. Our pasteurized milk cheeses include aged and smoked cheddars, Pepper Jack, Garlic & Herb, and Monterey Jack.

Family Farms Creamery also offers cheese curds in a variety of flavors, including plain, Garlic & Herb, Sour Cream & Onion, Tomato Basil, Smokehouse Bacon, and more.

The deli is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The deli offers 6", 8", and 12" subs, kaiser roll sandwiches, macaroni salad, pasta salad, and potato salad. Customers can also enjoy hot and iced coffee, fresh-squeezed lemonade, and meats and cheeses available for slicing. Fresh baked goods are available every Friday.

Family Farms Creamery’s retail shop offers a large selection of local products, including meats, honey, maple syrup, canned goods, and more. The store also features bulk groceries, stocked coolers, and a variety of canned and boxed goods.

Our Location: Approximately 20 miles North from Watkins Glen on 414. 25 miles South of Interstate 90. Travel South on 414 through Ovid, about 1.5 miles to the Creamery.
