Cheddar Reserve

Cheddar Reserve
Made by
Milton Creamery
Milk Type
Cow
Cheddar Reserve represents Milton Creamery’s belief that great cheese is made not only with skill, but with patience. This exceptional cheddar begins its life as the creamery’s classic cheddar, then is intentionally set aside and aged for a minimum of two years, allowing time to deepen its flavor, texture, and character.
Made in small batches using growth-hormone-free milk from Amish and Mennonite family farms located within 30 miles of the creamery, Cheddar Reserve reflects Milton Creamery’s commitment to local agriculture and traditional cheesemaking. The milk’s freshness, combined with hands-on methods and extended aging, results in a cheddar that is bold, balanced, and unmistakably distinctive.
Flavor & Aroma
Cheddar Reserve delivers a confident cheddar bite without overpowering the palate. Expect a rich, savory flavor with notes of toasted nuts and a lingering, satisfying sharpness that develops slowly as the cheese warms. Its aroma is warm and inviting, with classic aged-cheddar depth.
Texture & Appearance
Firm yet beautifully crumbly, Cheddar Reserve breaks into hearty shards and slices cleanly. With age, the cheese develops a dense body and may show subtle crystalline crunch—an indicator of time well spent in the aging room.
